Based in Taoist Five Element Theory, this practice highlights the dynamic relationship between yin (inward, cooling, receptive) and yang (outward, warming, expressive) encouraging the flow of qi to optimize functionality.
This practice requires no props and can be enjoyed standing or seated in a chair.

Fundamentals of Sun Style Tai Chi & Qigong
This exploration into tai chi and qigong movements and principles is appropriate for beginners and those looking to deepen their existing practice.
Both tai chi and qigong incorporate movement, posture and breathing exercises based on the observation of nature. Qigong is generally more free form with the focus on cultivating internal energy while tai chi possesses a complexity that stimulates muscle memory and cognitive function.
Sun Style Tai Chi is the youngest of the official tai chi forms. It promotes balance and the utilization of healing qigong to encourage inner peace and the smooth flow of qi.
We will work with both qigong and tai chi with the goal of cultivating internal energy and enjoying the benefits to daily life that regular practice has to offer.
This practice requires no props and can be enjoyed standing or seated in a chair.
